The regular expression to capture attributes of XML elements in an XML document can be written as: ([^\s=]+)\s*=\s*"((?:[^"]*\")*[^"]*)" Note that:

([^\s=]+)              - Attribute name
((?:[^"]*\")*[^"]*)   - Attribute vlaue
